East Carolina University

ECU is a public, doctoral/research university in Greenville, N.C. It is the state’s third largest university. Founded on March 8, 1907, the sprawling university is has three distinct campuses: Main Campus, the Health Sciences Campus and the West Research Campus. The Brody School of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Allied Health Sciences and School of Dental Medicine are located on the Health Sciences Campus.

Greenville is widely recognized as the thriving cultural, educational, economic and medical hub of eastern North Carolina. While retaining its southern charm and hospitality, Greenville has grown into the state’s 10th largest city and boasts vibrant art, live music and culinary scenes in its Uptown and Dickinson Avenue Arts districts.

Uptown Greenville is a 501-c-3 organization that drives the economic, social and cultural development of Greenville’s Center City. The organization is known for its community events, including PirateFest, the Uptown Umbrella Market, the Artwalk and most notably, its pre-home game celebrations for the ECU football team.
