Board Preparation Assistance Program

Every year our program director and associate program director reviews the in-training exam results with each resident. Each resident develops an individualized study plan with guidance from program leadership. Depending on the ITE results each resident is placed in a red, yellow or green zone to identify those who will need extra assistance for their board preparation. If they are in the red or yellow zone they are encouraged to study in a more formal way the subject covered during their clinical rotations. Those residents are also paired with a study mentor and are referred to the Office of Student Development and Academic Counseling, services provided at no cost to residents. All residents complete a learning styles assessment. Resident have 24-hour access to the Med-Peds suite with many board review materials exclusively for Med-Peds.
