Combined Med-Peds Experiences

One of our most popular Med-Peds electives is a combined Med-Peds hospitalist month where the residents spend time with our alumni at one of our regional hospitals (ECU Health Edgecombe or ECU Health Duplin). This experience provides increased autonomy and the chance to gain even more procedural experience.

Every resident spends 2 months as a senior level resident in our Med-Peds ambulatory clinic where they spend time with our Med-Peds faculty as well as time with sports medicine, ENT, sickle cell clinic, congenital heart clinic, and other experiences based on resident interest.

Residents are able to create combined electives and have the opportunity to do away electives for unique experiences if not offered at ECU Health Medical Center.
