Point of Care Ultrasound Curriculum

The goal of this four-year longitudinal POCUS curriculum is to teach Internal Medicine/Pediatric residents the clinical skills and knowledge to confidently and competently incorporate ultrasound imaging as part of routine evaluation of adult and pediatric patients in diverse clinical settings. Specifically, this curriculum will allow residents to develop skills in image acquisition and interpretation of images related to Cardiac, Thoracic, eFAST, and IVC exams. Residents will also become competent in ultrasound-guided procedural applications including central lines, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
