Categorical Didactic Education

There is a strong culture of didactic education on both pediatrics and internal medicine. Every Friday afternoon the residents give their pagers to their attendings who cover their clinical responsibilities so that the residents are protected to attend formal curriculum lectures. This is in addition to other daily conferences as can be seen below. Also, during your elective experiences you will participate in the subspecialty conferences. An example is an interdisciplinary Infectious Disease conference on Wednesday mornings.
