Combined Med-Peds Didactic Education

This is unique to ECU Med-Peds Program. We meet every Monday all year round from 12:00-1:00pm. This is a chance for our residents to come together with the faculty and any visiting students to help with camaraderie. We are very proud to say that each Monday is packed with solid Med-Peds education with excellent attendance by both residents and faculty. Examples of conference types held during our Monday meetings are listed below:

We have enjoyed lectures such as case conferences by rural Med-Peds hospitalists, discussions on public health cases by rural public health directors, eye-opening stories from folks working on American Indian Reservations, updates on STD management for adolescents, primary care for transgender youth and adults, and many more.
Guest SpeakersOur Med-Peds Chiefs arrange for guest speakers throughout the year based on resident input and feedback. Speakers traditionally have presented on a wide variety of topics ranging from specific medical conditions to non-medical “real life” topics pertinent to life after residency.
